Toronto Nationals Celebrate Canada Day with
Cannons
Friday, July 2, 2010: Cosmos Sports
welcomes the Toronto Nationals back to Canada, just in
time to celebrate our Nation’s birthday with their game
against the Boston Cannons for the first time this
season. Heading into this match up with a two game
winning streak, Toronto has been building the momentum
needed to take them all the way to the playoffs. They
hope to continue their success when they are back at
Lamport Stadium on July 1st at 7:00p.m.
Toronto and Boston met twice last season, with Boston
winning both games by close margins. The Nationals are
looking to close those margins this time around and take
the win away from the top seeded Cannons. Boston made an
unexpected come-from-behind win last week against the
Long Island Lizards, and the Nationals are preparing
themselves for the same velocity from the Cannons. The
Hogtown team has been improving week by week, which can
only guarantee that Thursday’s game will be their best
so far.
Before the game, Gary Gait, the five-time Canadian
National team member, four-time MLL Champion and
three-time NLL Champion and Mann Cup winner, will be
hosting a lacrosse clinic at Lamport Stadium.
Participants get to learn from one of the best lacrosse
players of all time and then they can stick around to
check out all the action the MLL has to offer. The Royal
Canadian Air Cadets from Richmond Hill will also be on
hand to perform the national anthems and put on a
halftime show.
To be a part of all the fun and excitement, please call
1-877-9GO-NATS to buy tickets. Tickets start as low as
$16.95. You can also visit our website at
www.nationalslacrosse.com for more
