The Toronto Rush are back—and ready to soar. One of the founding teams of the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA), the Rush kick off their 2025 campaign with a new look, new energy, and a renewed commitment to bringing top-tier Ultimate action to the heart of Toronto.
After a challenging 2024 season, which saw the team finish 1-11, the Rush are determined to flip the script in 2025. With the launch of their “Rush Reboot” initiative and a revitalized roster, fans can expect a whole new level of play—and entertainment.
“The 2025 season is pivotal for the franchise,” said team owner Jim Lloyd. “We have made significant investments to re-energize our fan base and need Rush fans to be as ‘all-in’ as we are.”
The offseason brought an influx of elite international talent to the Rush lineup. European stars Toms Abeltins, Arvids Karklins, Tom Blasman, Connor McHale, and Simone Gasperini have all joined the fold, bringing fresh energy and world-class skill. They’ll be joined by returning veterans like Mark Lloyd, Ty Barbieri, James Lewis, Wilkie Lewis, and Mike Mackenzie, as well as exciting young talent Martin Gallant.
With one of the most promising pre-season rosters in the UFA, the Rush are setting their sights on a playoff return—and beyond.
The Rush return to Varsity Stadium for the full 2025 season, rekindling one of the league’s best home atmospheres. After splitting time at Lamport Stadium in 2024, the team is thrilled to be back at their true home base—where the fans, energy, and tradition all come together.
The first home game is set for Saturday, May 10 at 6:00 PM against the Philadelphia Phoenix. Expect high-octane action, a few surprises, and a lot of fun.
Every Rush home game in 2025 will be more than just elite Ultimate Frisbee—it’ll be a full-on event. Themed nights and family-friendly fun are at the core of this season’s game day experience. Think face painting, bouncy castles, beer gardens, and special appearances from superheroes and community guests.
From School Night celebrations to Superhero Nights, the Rush are making every game one to remember for fans of all ages.
