The 11th World Dodgeball Federation World Championships were announced to be held in Bangkok, Thailand in December 2026. This event has an estimated 50 countries, 140 teams, and over 1,500 athletes participating, showing positive growth across the globe. Marked by the return of reigning champions from Austria, Canada, and Malaysia while also including prominent programs from the United States, Saudi Arabia, China, France, Italy, United Kingdom, and Ukraine. This scale is anticipated to eclipse all previous championship event records and be a highlight for the sport of Dodgeball and its international pedigree.
The World Championships will be composed of six divisions including Men’s, Women’s and Mixed, showcasing the diversity of formats and possibilities that are synonymous with international dodgeball. The WDBF will work closely with the Thailand Dodgeball Association to deliver a world-class event in one of Asia’s most iconic regions. Thankfully for fans, the championship will be available for non-member federations to support the goal of ongoing development of the sport.
