OAKVILLE-BASED YOUTH SOCCER ACADEMY LAUNCHES SEARCH FOR NEW OWNERSHIP

June 1, 2026

OAKVILLE, ON — Future Girls Soccer United (FGSU), the established girls youth soccer academy based in Oakville, Ontario, has launched a search for new ownership, presenting a unique opportunity to build and grow a competitive player development platform in one of Canada’s most active youth sports markets.

The academy currently provides competitive soccer training and development opportunities for young female athletes in the Halton Region. The program has built a strong foundation through its focus on skill development, quality coaching, and a supportive environment designed to help players grow both on and off the field.

Located in the heart of Halton Region, one of the fastest-growing and most affluent communities in Canada, the academy operates in a market known for strong participation in youth sports and particularly high demand for soccer programming. Thousands of young athletes participate in organized soccer throughout Oakville and neighbouring communities each year, creating significant demand for high-quality development environments.

Current owner Kim Brassor

The opportunity allows a new ownership group to acquire the academy platform and build upon its existing structure while introducing its own vision for growth. New ownership will have the flexibility to expand programming, adjust age groups, rebrand the academy, and broaden the scope of the program to include both boys and girls teams if desired.

Founder Kim Brassor says that the goal is to ensure the academy continues to grow and provide opportunities for young athletes in the community.

“The academy has always been about creating a positive environment where young athletes can develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game,” said Kim Brassor. “We are incredibly proud of the brand we have built — one known for quality, transparency, and disciplined development. To ensure this successful development template has the permanent stability it deserves, we are seeking a partner who can bring fresh energy, deep financial infrastructure, and the forward-thinking scale to take what we’ve built to the absolute next level. The sky’s the limit for what this brand can grow to with the right backing.”

Youth sports participation continues to grow across Canada, particularly in soccer, which remains one of the most widely played sports among young athletes. The Halton Region in particular, has seen strong growth in youth sports participation driven by a rapidly expanding population and a strong culture of community athletics.

With an existing player base, established programming, and a strong local soccer culture, the academy presents a compelling opportunity for investors, coaches, or sports entrepreneurs looking to build a youth soccer organization in a high-demand market
