The Toronto Rush have put together a strong first half of the 2026 Ultimate Frisbee Association season, sitting at 5-4 as they continue their push toward the playoffs. With exciting performances on both sides of the disc and growing support from fans at Varsity Stadium in downtown Toronto, the Rush are in the midst of an important stretch.
One of the biggest reasons for Toronto’s success has been Max Pettenuzzo, who has established himself as one of the league’s premier offensive playmakers. Through nine games, Pettenuzzo leads the Rush with 11 goals and 27 assists, consistently driving the offense.
The Rush have also received outstanding defensive contributions from Eric Zuang, who ranks third in the UFA with 16 blocks. His ability to generate turnovers has helped Toronto swing momentum throughout the season and has been a major factor in several key victories.
Toronto now heads on the road this Sunday, July 5 at 1:00 p.m., for a matchup against the scuffling 2-8 Montreal Royal.
Following the trip to Montreal, the excitement shifts back to Varsity Stadium for two home games to wrap up the regular season. First up is a showdown against the 7-2 New York Empire on Sunday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m., one of the league’s top teams. Fans attending the game will also be treated to a SuperDogs halftime performance, making it one of the biggest events of the summer for Rush supporters. Toronto will then host the Indianapolis AlleyCats on Saturday, July 18 at 6:00 p.m.
Just as impressive as the team’s performances has been the atmosphere surrounding home games. Rush fans have continued to show up in great numbers throughout the season, creating an energetic environment that has helped make Varsity Stadium one of the best places to experience professional ultimate frisbee in Canada.
Behind the scenes, Cosmos Sports and Entertainment continues to play an important role in delivering the Rush game-day experience.
