Summer is the perfect time for kids to try something new while creating unforgettable memories. For young racing enthusiasts across the Niagara region, K1 Speed St. Catharines is offering an exciting way to do all three with its Summer Speed Camp.
This four-day program is designed to help young drivers improve their skills, learn proper racing techniques and experience the excitement of organized competition. The camp provides a fun and supportive environment for drivers of different skill levels.
During the first three days of camp, participants will take part in courses led by experienced instructor Ryan Dupont. Each session focuses on the techniques young racers need to improve their lap times while remaining safe and in control.
Campers will learn how to identify and follow the ideal racing line, manage their braking and acceleration and maintain consistent speed throughout each lap. They will also work on developing the confidence and focus needed to make smart decisions behind the wheel.
The progressive structure allows participants to apply what they learn each day, giving them plenty of opportunities to practice, improve and track their development throughout the week.
On the fourth and final day, campers will compete in an organized Camp Championship. After three days of training, drivers will have the opportunity to put their new skills into action in a structured race format.
The championship gives participants a taste of real competition while encouraging sportsmanship, teamwork and support among fellow campers. It is an exciting conclusion to a week filled with learning, racing and personal growth.
K1 Speed’s Summer Speed Camp gives kids the opportunity to meet others who share their interests, develop new friendships and build confidence both on and off the track.
Each participant will receive a dedicated two-hour time slot per day. Since the program includes personalized instruction and significant track time, space is extremely limited. Once the available spots are filled, additional participants will be placed on a waitlist, so early registration is strongly recommended.
