Soccer development is evolving, and FTY LAB Canada is bringing a new way to train to players across the Greater Toronto Area.
Located at 3413 Wolfedale Road in Mississauga, FTY LAB Canada is a technology-driven soccer training facility built to help players get more touches on the ball, receive immediate feedback and develop the technical skills needed to perform at a higher level.
Originally founded in the United Kingdom, FTY LAB was created with the goal of modernizing traditional soccer development through the combination of elite training technology, measurable performance data and purposeful repetition. The Mississauga location brings that concept to Canadian players, offering a training environment unlike anything traditionally available in the market.
What immediately separates FTY LAB Canada from a traditional indoor soccer facility is the technology.
Instead of simply providing turf and space to train, the Lab is filled with interactive training stations designed to target specific areas of a player’s game.
Players can work on passing accuracy with the Precision Wall, challenge their awareness and reactions on the ICON systems, sharpen their footwork with Fast Feet, test their speed in the Sprint Lane, improve close control through the Dribble Lane, develop their finishing and touch on the Panenka Wall, and much more.
The result is an environment where players are constantly involved. More touches, more decisions and more repetition give athletes an opportunity to focus on the details of their game while receiving measurable feedback on how they are progressing.
FTY LAB also utilizes training technology that has been used by professional clubs across Europe, including clubs such as Manchester City, Barcelona and Chelsea. That same technology-driven approach to player development is now available to players in Mississauga.
Whether a player is just beginning their soccer journey, competing at the club level or aspiring to play at the highest levels of the game, the facility is designed to challenge athletes based on where they are in their development.
One of the most unique elements of the FTY LAB experience is the FTY Rating, a live performance index designed to give players a measurable understanding of their development.
The FTY Rating evaluates players across four core attributes: Passing, Acceleration, Vision and Agility.
Rather than relying on subjective evaluations or the results of a single drill, the system uses real training data captured throughout a player’s sessions. It measures how consistently a player performs, executes and reacts under pressure over time.
Every session completed at the Lab feeds more data into the player’s profile, allowing the system to continuously recalibrate the rating. That means a player’s FTY Rating is never static. It updates after every session and becomes increasingly accurate as more training data is collected.
The goal is to provide players with a clearer picture of their true performance level and give them something tangible to work toward each time they enter the Lab.
No bias. No guesswork. Just measurable development.
By tracking progression across Passing, Acceleration, Vision and Agility, the FTY Rating gives players the opportunity to see where they are improving, identify areas that require more work and monitor their development over the course of their training journey.
FTY Rating: Your game, measured in real time.
For players looking to make the Lab part of their regular development, FTY LAB Canada offers three membership levels built around training frequency: Core, Edge and Apex.
The Core Membership is designed for players looking to establish consistency and build a strong technical foundation.
Core provides one training session per week, making it an accessible starting point for players who want to add structured individual development to their existing soccer schedule while building confidence and improving the fundamentals of their game.
For players looking to take their development further, the Edge Membership increases training to two sessions per week.
Training twice per week allows players to get more touches, increase repetition and spend additional time focusing on specific areas of their game. With more sessions also comes more performance data, helping players build an increasingly accurate FTY Rating and better understand their progression.
At the top of the membership structure is Apex.
Designed for highly committed players, Apex includes three training sessions per week and provides the greatest level of access to the Lab.
With consistent repetition across FTY LAB’s technology and training stations, Apex gives ambitious players the opportunity to continually challenge themselves, collect more performance data and make individual development a major part of their weekly training routine.
The idea behind FTY LAB Canada is simple: give players access to better tools, more purposeful repetition and measurable information about how their game is developing.
Traditional team training will always play an important role in soccer, but FTY LAB provides something different. It gives players a space to focus on themselves, isolate specific skills and put in the additional work that can make a difference when they return to the field.
More importantly, players are not left wondering whether that work is paying off. Through the FTY Rating and the data captured during every session, they can see their progression unfold over time.
With professional-level training technology, a dedicated development environment, measurable player performance and membership options for different levels of commitment, FTY LAB Canada is creating a new destination for soccer players across Mississauga and the GTA.
The Lab is open. Now it is time to see what your game measures up to.
