Cosmos Sports and Entertainment continues its decade-long partnership with The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, a Canadian orchestra situated in Hamilton, as the 23–24 concert season approaches. Since 2012, Cosmos has provided HPO with subscription renewals services.

Cosmos’s Director of Sales and Services, Evan O’Connor, who has been working with HPO since 2019 said “The Cosmos team is excited to continue working with HPO for subscription renewals during the 23-24 campaign. The Orchestra, along with many other entertainment industries, has been dealing with the fallout of COVID over the last few seasons, moving the Orchestra to an online format. Now the musicians are back on stage to perform for the many loyal Patrons HPO has and they have been eager to come back into the fold for Gemma New’s final season as Music Director.”

We have managed to maintain a steady growth in HPO’s account post-covid, which is excellent news for Hamilton’s music, arts, and cultural landscape, and both sides have been delighted with the outcomes thus far. What’s especially exciting is that Cosmos was able to bring back pre-covid sales numbers for HPO in the month of July. 

The subscribers are back in full force and are elated for the comeback of Gemma New for the 23-24 concert season. This season will kick off with a grand opening night concert on September 23, 2023, with Gemma as the head conductor in the Gemma Conducts Schumann & Mendelssohn. The opening night will also celebrate 50 years at the FirstOntario Concert Hall.

Cosmos, which has its roots in sports marketing, has evolved to become an expert in dealing with performing arts groups like the HPO. Cosmos has found success applying its knowledge of ticket sales from sports to the performing arts industry. It aims to continue expanding its collaborations in this field and looks forward to working together for many more seasons to come at the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.
