Zachary
Okum

Zach graduated from Niagara College’s Sports Management and Administration program with honours in early 2024 after interning here at Cosmos. After moving from a small farm town, he has found living in a bigger city a much better fit for his love of sport and entertainment.

Zach inherited his passion for sports, especially hockey, from his father who always had the Montreal Canadiens games on whenever they played. This led Zachary to become attached to the sport, playing goaltender for 8 years at a house league and single A level and then going on to referee for 4 years.

Zach realised his passion for sales when he realised the enjoyment he gets out of talking and befriending almost everyone he meets. Being a social person, a sales role allows Zach to mix his interpersonal skills with his professional skills. Zach was involved in computer sales for just under a year, during that time he found out mixing one of his interests with sales can lead to great success. Zachary believes that achieving a happy work life is a key to having a good work life balance, and this position at Cosmos allows Zach to both take pride in his work as well as enjoy it.

Zach believes that life is measured through experiences, whether that be canoe camping with friends or going to any professional sports game he can attend, he is happy that this role will allow him to help others create experiences that will stay with them for life.
