Currently in his final semester at Brock University, Javed Shiwram is completing a degree in Sport Management with a strong passion for sports, media, and marketing. His athletic journey began with soccer before developing a strong love for basketball, which has since become his favourite sport to both play and watch. Alongside basketball, Javed competed in volleyball through the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) for several years and earned the highest athletic recognition available at his high school for his achievements and involvement in sports. His passion for athletics naturally translated into pursuing opportunities within the sport industry, where he has gained valuable experience in digital media and communications.

Javed chose to pursue a career in sport because of the lifelong impact sports have had on him both personally and competitively. He has always been drawn to the energy, storytelling, and community that sports create, especially through digital media and fan interaction. As the Digital Media and Marketing Executive at Cosmos, Javed will contribute to the organization’s digital presence through social media marketing, content creation, and branding initiatives.

A passionate Toronto sports fan, he closely follows the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and especially the Toronto Raptors. Javed is extremely excited for this opportunity with Cosmos and is eager to continue growing within the sports industry while making a meaningful impact with the organization.
