Caitlin Rother has joined Cosmos as a Corporate Sponsorship Intern and is entering her fourth year at the University of Guelph, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Sport and Event Management. Throughout her academic career, she has developed a strong foundation in marketing, management, and research, with a particular focus on partnership development. Her interest in sponsorship strategy emerged through hands-on coursework, where she contributed to multiple sponsorship projects. These projects include developing partnership proposals for the GOOD Games and the Toronto Blue Jays, both of which were considered for potential implementation. 

Caitlin’s passion for sports began at an early age. She participated in a wide range of sports before ultimately focusing on hockey. Her experience as an athlete fostered a deep appreciation not only for the game itself but also for the surrounding environment. After concluding her time in minor hockey, she became increasingly interested in the business side of sport, particularly the energy of game-day operations, the complexity of stakeholder coordination, and the strategic problem-solving required behind the scenes. This realization led her to pursue a career in the sports industry and guided her academic path. 

In her role at Cosmos, Caitlin is responsible for identifying key sponsorship categories, prospecting and researching potential partnership organizations, and conducting outreach to both new and existing prospects. She is also involved in managing follow-ups and coordinating introductory meetings. Her work will focus on supporting partnership development initiatives across properties, including USPORTS, Hockey Equality, and TRREB. She will also help the Toronto Rush with game-day operations.
