Chemara Walters has always had a strong connection to sports. She played soccer competitively from a young age, reaching regional, provincial, and semi-pro levels before continuing her career at the varsity level with York University. After years of playing at a high level, she began to develop an interest in the business side of the game, which includes how teams, leagues, and organizations operate behind the scenes.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Chemara made a pivotal change. She transferred schools and enrolled in the Sport Management program at Humber College, where she found opportunities to explore various areas of the industry, including marketing, sponsorship, operations, and sales. The program helped her make a complete transition from athlete to work professional, providing her with the tools and experience to take her next step.

Now working in the Sales department at Cosmos as an Account Executive, Chemara is focused on building strong partnerships and helping the organization grow through strategic sales and client relationships. She brings the same drive and discipline from her playing days into her work, with a fundamental understanding of what makes the sports world. 

Outside of work, Chemara still stays connected to the game. She enjoys playing and watching soccer, and continues to follow her favourite teams. Her passion for sport has shaped her journey from player to professional, and she’s excited to continue growing in the industry.
