Ethan
Caplan

After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University,
Ethan specialized in Sport & Event Marketing at George Brown College, sharpening his
expertise in partnership development and fan engagement. His career path started working
in the athletics department at Wilfrid Laurier leading their camps department in the
summertime, he loved the camaraderie and culture of being in a sports organization and
knew he wanted to pursue this further as a career.

Before joining Cosmos, Ethan worked in boutique marketing agencies, gaining experience in
partnership development, sales, and leading on-site brand activations. He’s fostered
relationships to collaborate on marketing campaigns and has led the behind-the-scenes
planning, strategy, and execution. Ethan has also contributed to partnership marketing
initiatives for various Canadian athletes, sport journalists and broadcasters across major
Canadian sport networks.

Ethan joined Cosmos with a passion for creating meaningful partnerships campaigns that
generate lasting memories for fans. His collaborative approach to partnerships is rooted in
the belief that sponsorships are more than transactions. They’re an opportunity to build
programs that go beyond the game or event, creating experiences that resonate with fans,
families, and broader audiences with the power to strengthen communities. He currently is
working on growing the partnership campaigns for U SPORTS, Hockey Equality, Milton
Magic and Toronto Regional Real Estate Board.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ethan grew up playing and watching baseball, hockey, and
basketball cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays, Raptors, and Maple Leafs. Though he never
played, he’s a lifelong New England Patriots fan with family ties to Boston (but not a Bruins
or Celtics fan). Ethan also loves to travel, and has spent two months backpacking across
Southeast Asia visiting the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan. You’ll likely find Ethan
at Rogers Centre at a Blue Jays game, or at the golf course in the summertime or at any live
music venue across the GTA. Ethan loves the passion and energy that live events bring and
loves being immersed in those experiences.
