Mateaus joins Cosmos Sports & Entertainment as an Account Executive Intern during
this summer as he heads into his final year at Humber Polytechnic. First eyeing a career
in Computer Science, Mateaus quickly shifted towards the sports industry by completing
a three year sport management program at Humber and then returning to upgrade his
diploma to a degree in the BComm Management Studies program through an upgrade
pathway at Humber.

Mateaus has served in multiple positions during his time at Humber, such as an
Administration Intern with the Peterborough Petes, and an Baseball Operations Intern
with the Hamilton Cardinals. As well as working as a Venue Coordinator for Waterloo
United Minor Soccer, where he was responsible for the set up and teardown of
matches, running the ticket entry and inputting game events during OPDL matches.

Mateaus eats, breathes, and sleeps sports. He is always up to strike up a conversation
about any sport in his spare time and is always trying to grow his knowledge.

With Cosmos. Mateaus will be supporting the Women’s National Football Conference
(WNFC) to assist with prospecting and sales for their upcoming championship weekend.

In his spare time, Mateaus is a diehard fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions, and
Toronto Blue Jays. He really hopes to see one, if not all, of them win a championship in
the near future.
