Phoenix
Fernandes

Phoenix Fernandes is a Marketing & Social Media Intern at Cosmos Sports & Entertainment and a
fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce – Marketing student at Humber Polytechnic Institute. He previously
completed an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration at Humber College, graduating with
distinction. Phoenix holds numerous Facebook Certifications as well as certifications in Google Analytics,
Design Thinking, and Scrum Methodology, which reinforce his passion for digital strategy and innovative
marketing solutions.

Phoenix’s journey into marketing has been shaped by diverse hands-on experiences across multiple
industries. He has completed internships in public relations and marketing, where he strengthened
brand engagement through social media strategy, CRM systems, and content development. As the
founder of Phedex Photos, a photography business he launched in 2021, Phoenix has combined his
entrepreneurial spirit with a strong eye for creative direction and customer relationship management.
His academic and project-based work include such activates as leading a golf pop-up event, creating a
market penetration strategy for a company in the Netherlands and executing successful Facebook ad
campaigns.

Phoenix chose to pursue a career in sports marketing because of a lifelong passion for athletics. Phoenix
has enjoyed his involvement in several sports, including baseball, orienteering, and marksmanship. He is
especially drawn to the way marketing brings fans closer to the teams and athletes they love, and how it
shapes brand loyalty and fan experiences on a global scale.
Outside of work, Phoenix enjoys playing baseball, collecting vinyl records, and capturing everyday
moments through his photography. Some teams that he follows include McLaren, the Toronto Blue Jays
and the Buffalo Bills.

At Cosmos, Phoenix is a part of the marketing and social media team. He supports the creation and
execution of engaging digital content for various business partners in and out of the sports industry. His
role involves producing a variety of content that align with brand objectives while capturing the
excitement of the sports and entertainment. With a focus on analytics, storytelling, and innovation,
Phoenix brings energy, creativity, and professionalism to every project he’s part of.
