FTY LAB Canada Celebrates Grand Opening in Mississauga

By Noah Konorty | September 18th, 2026

FTY LAB Canada officially celebrated its Grand Opening in Mississauga, marking a major milestone for the innovative soccer training facility and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for player development in Canada.

The Grand Opening brought together members of the soccer community, local leaders, families, athletes and special guests for an inside look at the facility and the technology that is helping FTY LAB introduce a new approach to soccer development.

Among those in attendance were Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish, Member of Parliament Fares Al Soud, Councillor Joe Horneck and former Canadian Men’s National Team captain Atiba Hutchinson.

Their attendance helped make the occasion even more special as FTY LAB officially welcomed the community into its Mississauga home.

A New Approach to Player Development

Located at 3413 Wolfedale Road in Mississauga, FTY LAB Canada combines traditional soccer development with interactive training technology designed to give players more touches, more repetition and measurable feedback on their performance.

Inside the Lab, players can challenge different areas of their game through technology-driven stations focused on passing, reactions, vision, agility, speed, finishing, ball control and more.

Rather than simply completing drills, athletes are able to track their performance and continually challenge themselves to improve.

The facility also includes three indoor fields, creating a complete soccer destination where teams and individual players can train year-round.

FTY LAB’s goal is to complement traditional team training by giving players an environment where they can focus on their individual development and put in the additional work required to take the next step in their game.

Celebrating the Soccer Community

The Grand Opening was more than an opportunity to showcase a new facility. It was a celebration of the soccer community that FTY LAB hopes to support for years to come.

Guests had the opportunity to explore the facility, experience the Lab technology firsthand and learn more about the vision behind FTY LAB Canada.

For a country experiencing tremendous growth and excitement around soccer, the opening represents another opportunity to provide young Canadian players with greater access to high-quality training and development resources.

Having former Canadian captain Atiba Hutchinson attend the celebration added another connection between the facility and the future of Canadian soccer.

Hutchinson’s career has served as an example for generations of Canadian players, making his presence particularly meaningful as FTY LAB looks to help develop the next generation of athletes.

A Major Milestone for FTY LAB Canada

The Grand Opening represents the culmination of months of preparation, promotion and community building.

Since beginning its work with FTY LAB Canada, Cosmos Sports & Entertainment has supported the facility across its marketing efforts, helping establish the brand in the GTA and communicate what makes the FTY LAB experience different.

From digital marketing and social media to creative campaigns, content development, promotions and support surrounding the Grand Opening, Cosmos has worked alongside FTY LAB as the facility has continued to grow its presence in the Canadian soccer landscape.

Seeing players, families, community leaders and soccer figures come together inside the facility represented an important milestone for everyone involved.

For Cosmos, it was also an opportunity to see months of marketing work come together around a project focused on growing the game and creating new opportunities for Canadian athletes.

The Future Starts in the Lab

While the Grand Opening celebrated how far FTY LAB Canada has already come, it also represented the beginning of what the facility hopes to accomplish.

With memberships, individual Lab sessions, field rentals, camps, club training, events and other programming available, FTY LAB is continuing to expand the ways players and teams can use the facility.

The mission moving forward remains simple: provide Canadian soccer players with the tools, environment and opportunities they need to continue developing.

Canada’s soccer landscape continues to grow, and facilities such as FTY LAB are creating new ways for players to work on their game away from traditional team training.

The doors are officially open.

Now, FTY LAB Canada is ready to help develop the future of Canadian soccer.
